Back to the basics

Since our inception in 1994, we have been a family run organization. Chances are when you call, you will speak to a family member. With almost 75 years of combined experience in the insulation and fireproofing industry, the company's principals handle all aspects of a job, from estimating to administration to management. Nobody looks after business better than family.

The design of a company affects its ability and willingness to respond quickly. Your project and your jobsite are important to us and we'll prove that to you by staffing your projects with highly-trained, skilled craftsmen, supervised by ownership, as well as, OSHA 30 Hour Certified Field Foremen.

Building from the past

Firedog Fireproofing (originally Energy Conservation Insulation) was established in 1994 by Jim Nicholson in Alpharetta, Georgia with a primary focus on residential and multi-family insulation. In 1996, we diversified our product lines to include and focus on fireproofing and commercial insulation.

Our business philosophy is simple: provide you, our customer, with the best possible fireproofing products and fireproofing solutions. We believe you deserve outstanding service and the highest quality products the industry has to offer. And to receive this, you should not have to pay a premium.

Firedog Fireproofing is all about organizational change. We have aligned our organization to establish closer contact with customers, improve customer service, reduce unnecessary layers of management, and decrease the time between decisions and results.

Today the company covers a geographic region that includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia as well as the entire Caribbean.

Looking to the future

The construction industry is in a constant state of fluctuation. Codes change, standards are raised and lifecycle cost are calculated. The demands on our natural resources are continually being tested. LEED (Leadership in Energy Efficient Design) is a key component in many buildings today. We are proud to be a contributor in this proccess.
